WeCanRow Wilmington Erg & Info Session This Saturday – July 18th

Our WeCanRow Cancer Survivor Group is thriving and getting out every Tuesday and Thursday!

On Saturday, July 18th, we are going to have an Erg and info session for new or potential members. This will be from 10:00am – 12noon at the boathouse.

If you know anyone going through treatment or finished treatment that would be interested to try rowing, send them over! All of you know how awesome our sport is and what benefits we get just being at the boathouse, rowing and enjoying nature. It’s especially inspiring for those who have been through a cancer diagnosis and treatment in their life and can relate with other people in the group with something they haven’t done before.

Pass the word!! If you can take this flyer to your business, gym or doctor’s office, please ask them to hang it there.

Thanks also to all the volunteers that help us out every week! We so appreciate it!

If you would like to be a volunteer rower with our program, please let Julie know and we will put you on the email list to help us out!

Power 10 for the Quad Fundraising Campaign!

We have achieved our published goal of raising $10,000 toward the $30,000 cost of the brand new 4x and would like to keep the momentum going to support the purchase of the replacement 8 and future needs! There is a WRC guest bartending event in the works with Brandywine Brewing Company in Greenville, DE, for August or September, so keep an eye out for more information on that! We will also have a naming ceremony this fall allowing those who donated to name a shell in the boathouse to honor a loved one or express a fun rowing sentiment! Names are way more fun than numbers.

Please consider donating and any amount is greatly appreciated! Just scan the QR code below or in the boathouse to donate today!
