WeCanRow Wilmington

WeCanRow Wilmington was founded in 2024 by Julie Edmiston and is a wellness and recovery program for women who have been treated for breast cancer.  Rowing helps our members re-build physical strength and mental focus, renew self-image and develop the bond of teamwork with women who have had similar cancer experiences.  WeCanRow Wilmington is a group full of amazing survivors!

If you or someone you know is interested in joining this group, we would love to have you. Just contact Julie with info. Any level can join. Whether you’ve been a rower for 20 years, or a novice, it will be great to have you! The group is not a racing group, but love getting on the water and learning our amazing sport that we all love, plus supporting each other.

This winter the group is planning on doing some erging together before getting back on the water in the spring.  The group typically meets on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

WeCanRow Wilmington is part of the Survivor Rowing Network and one of a number of WeCanRow affiliates across the country.  To get a better sense of what the Survivor Rowing Network is all about, check out this segment from The Kelly Clarkson Show on October 15, 2024.
