About WRC

Wilmington Rowing Center (WRC) is a nonprofit corporation chartered under the laws of Delaware for the sport of rowing and is situated on the Christina River in Wilmington, Delaware. The principal purposes of the organization are to promote, stimulate, and support an interest in amateur rowing, be it recreational or competitive and other forms of athletics that are supplementary to this sport. WRC is committed to making its membership inclusive. No one shall be denied membership because of race, color, national origin, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender.

In addition to the its masters & scholastic programs, WRC has offered Spring & Summer masters Learn-to-Row classes for the community since 1993.

WRC has sponsored the Howard M. Smith Diamond State Masters Regatta on Noxontown Pond at St Andrews School in Middletown, DE since 1991. It has grown into a two day event and is one of the largest and most popular Masters Regattas in the USA.
