Wilmington Rowing Center invites you to the 17th Annual Santa Row!

Wilmington Rowing Center is proud to host the 17th Annual Santa Row, celebrating the holiday season with a parade of decorated boats rowing up the Christina River to benefit the Ministry of Caring.

This fundraiser has raised over $18,000 for the Ministry of Caring in the 17 years through donations collected by WRC and is a favorite event for both organizations. In addition, WRC runs a food drive, collecting can foods for the Ministry.

Boats launch around 9:30 AM, tide depending, from the Wilmington Rowing Center dock and will row up the river past Tubman Gerrett Park and the Riverfront Rink, where they will turn around at Dravo Plaza. Each crew comes up with their own theme for the boat, creating costumes and decorating the boats. Past themes have been 8 Maids a Milking, Flying Cardinals, Fiars, and Welcome to Whoville. This year’s boats promise to be equally entertaining and festive!

Back at the boathouse, Brother Ronald from the Ministry of Caring will judge the participating boats and award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, with a special award for the high school boats.
